About

Tokyo Bureau covers neighborhood bases, station navigation, compact routing, and practical etiquette for Tokyo trips.

Tokyo Bureau writes straight-ahead Tokyo guides for travelers who want the city to feel navigable. We focus on where to stay, how to move through stations, and how to keep each day tied to one area instead of crisscrossing the map.

The goal is simple: make Tokyo easier to read without flattening it into generic travel advice. If a station is huge, we explain how to get through it. If a neighborhood makes a better base, we say why.

Desk scores rate worth-the-trip-time and are set by the desk; they are never supplied by an operator, and reader review counts never feed them.
Per-entry fields are admission, hours, weekly closure, access and time budget. A field is omitted when it has not been verified — it is never estimated. Found an error? Submit a correction.
